Royal Lao Classical Dancers

RLCD Dance Practice

January 11, 2010 Comments Off

We hope you had a good start on the new year and are ready for dancing.

It is that time again. Time for fun and join. Time for community service. Time to learn more about your cultural heritage.

You are invited to join the Royal Lao Classical Dancers in the continuation of preserving and sharing one of the beautiful Lao arts. Come and learn from the master dancers. New, Active, and Inactive are welcome.

By joining our group, you will discover what a Lao Classical dance is all about because our instructors value compassion, the importance of searching for knowledge, truth and building community. You will be taught to reject greed, hate and fighting. The fawn shows you like nature, beauty, happiness and peace. Dance is a beautiful road for a child that leads both to our past and our future. Please join and learn on that road.

We ask that you, as parents, to drop off and pick up your children on each practice day. Our practices occur once a week on Sundays at the Wat Lao Nashville (Lao Buddhist Temple of Nashville).

Starting Sunday, Jan 24th, 2010
From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

We provide the children with drinks and snacks in between breaks. Please help us with committing your children to join our group.
Note: Parents please stay for the annual meeting from 2:00 PM to 2:30PM
